Mini Vacation to Hua Hin, Thailand

16:58 Unknown 5 Comments

My favourite part about living in crazy, chaotic, gorgeous Bangkok is that when the seemingly fast paced city life catches up, Hua Hin is just a stone throw away. It's usually a 2-3 hour journey, where you can either take the bus, mini bus, or a good old Uber. The cozy cafes and beach are bound to remind you of that magical serenity that sort of lingers in the air and is sort of hard to remember when in Bangkok.

So, a weekend trip is sure worth it and here are the few pictures I managed to capture for you.

Horses on the beach

Possibly the best coffee in town - Pony

Tastes as good as it looks
More Ponies

Can it get any better?

Look up.
Feeling the warmth of the sand beneath your feet while the sea breeze gently brushes your cheeks.

Free studios everywhere.

Gold everywhere.

Beach time.
Be sure not to miss this one if you are heading this side of heaven. Any questions, I am happy to help ^^

Sultry Goddess | Lace, Lingerie and Loungewear

16:44 Unknown 2 Comments

sultry goddess lingerie

A couple of days ago I posted this cute little lace bralette I made on my Instagram. It was much of an achievement as I am not really one to sit down and sew to completion - but on this one, I bared the needles 'til the end. I didn't expect anyone would want the same, so naturally you can imagine how flattered and humbled I was when a few orders came in. That's when the crazy idea of designing lingerie and lounge wear sneakily crept in.

So why lingerie and lounge wear?

Khumo is a simple yet so complex being - sometimes I walk into a store and conditionally like something - 'oh if they had put the beads here instead of there it would be perfect' - with me it's almost always lacking something or a tad too much. So, a friend of mind got agitated with my shopping habits and told me if I'm gonna be picky, I might as well do it myself.

Can you call you a lingerie designer now?

Haha, God no. I work in fashion e-commerce and I love my job. But I love so many other things too like shoes, underwear and perfume. So no, I am still Khumo, no fancy titles please.

What's the name of your shop?

Sultry Goddess - need I say more? Actually, it is more innocent than it sounds, most of my friends are either doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs or lawyers, it is always intriguing how the job requires an entirely different persona, so much seriousness is required but when we are altogether and the masks are off, we are the goofiest bunch, die hard romantics too. So Sultry Goddess captures femininity as a whole. And what screams femininity more than a lady curled up in her lace or satin lounge wear, buried deep in good book?

Interesting. So when can we start buying?

When everything is ready, which is hopefully soon. For now, you can just sort of enjoy the pictures and follow my IG so no one misses out :). Otherwise, if you can't wait, shoot me an email at khumo@quirkiiperkii.com - I'll try my best to get it to you no matter where in the world you are.

Green Tea | Herbal Tea Remedies for Tea Lovers

Green-tea

When it's not wine or coffee time, it is certainly tea time. Lately though I have had a slight obsession for green tea. Packed with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial antioxidants, you can rest assured your immune system will get the boost it needs to eliminate free radicals and unwanted toxins that may have potentially led to disease.
Another super power of this tea is aiding in wait loss by boosting the secretion of lipids, so, if you are going to indulge in a fat packed meal, be sure to have a cup ready. If your stomach is a little on the sensitive side take note of the when you should indulge in a cuppa to reap the most benefits with the least side effects.

Coconut Oil Benefits

Coconut Oil
organicfacts.net

When it comes to trying holistic, non processed products for either skin care or hair care, I am your muse. I may not write about it much, but that is about to change! For as long as I can remember, there are certain oils I just can't live without and coconut oil is one of them - no jokes here, heck, I've even managed to convert my manfriend who yes ma'am's, lies down and enjoys his DIY spa treatment in the 'safe' hands of yours truly, behind closed doors.

Which Coconut Oil Do I Choose?

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is what I prefer, they usually have it clearly labelled and it looks a bit strange in cooler temperatures - look for an opaque semi solid oil.
